Job Title: Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant

Job Time Type: Part Time (Less than 30 Hours)

Job Description: Responsible for overseeing Safe Connections financial data and compliance by maintaining accurate books on accounts payable and receivable and daily financial entries and reconciliations. Responsible for performing daily accounting tasks and monthly financial reporting, general ledger entries and recording payments and adjustments. Responsible for supporting Accountant with audits and tax filings.

 

Accounting education and experience required.

 

Tasks will include the following activities and others as requested by the Director:

• Processing incoming invoices and credit card transactions

• Preparing outgoing invoices with backup

• Generating reports as required by Grantors/Programs

• Processing client payments

• Data input in Quick Books

• Printing checks and mailing out payments

• Preparing bank deposits

• Reconciling Bank, Credit Card and Petty Cash Accounts

• Reconcile Client Fees vs Portal Transactions

• Print Payroll Invoice and Timecards; Compute cost for data entry to QB

• Update Employees' Personal Time Off Tracker

• Maintain Volunteers Hours Tracker

• Process General Ledged Adjusting Entries

• Compute and process Depreciation cost

• Maintain Budget Report

• Generate Monthly Financials

• Request/Provide required documentation for the Programs (i.e. Certificate of Insurance, etc.)

• Copying, scanning, and filing documentation

• Obtain W-9 forms from vendors

• Purchase Forms, and prepare and file 1099-Misc

• Backing up computer files

 

This can be a very flexible position with remote work a possibility. This can be a contract position. If accepted as a contract position, it will be an independent contractor/business opportunity and does not establish an employee/employer relationship. Will receive IRS 1099 form and will be responsible for own withholding taxes.

 

This position is best suited for an individual who has experience with grants or government contracts. The hours could be as low as 12 per week for someone contracted and doing only the bookkeeping/financial accounting and as much as 20 for someone wanting to also do some office assistance work and work mostly onsite.

 

Education/Experience: BA with commensurate experience

Job Title: Supervised Visitation Monitor

Job Time Type: Part Time (Less than 30 Hours)

Job Description: Responsible for providing direct client services to victims of crime, such as scheduling, monitoring visitation sessions, and maintain a safe environment. Other very important responsibilities include: Enforce center guidelines, rules and procedures as to ensure safety. Maintain appropriate boundaries and confidentiality with clients and victims. You must be able to maintain a strength-based approach while working with clients to assist in the retention of dignity. 

 

Tasks will include the following activities and others as requested by the Case Manager and/or Executive Director

 

Documentation of client interactions in system as case notes.

· Able to communicate effectively with clients, attorneys, coworkers and case managers.

· Able to maintain positive attitude.

· Hold professional and respectful interactions and behaviors.

· Assist case manager with tasks such as – calling clients for schedule changes, responding to client questions/concerns, gathering information from new clients and scheduling intake appointments.

· Completion of ALL state and organization required trainings – provided after hire.

· Attendance at any and all trainings deemed necessary by the executive director.

· Assist with annual fundraisers.

· Participation in annual fundraisers, provider fairs etc.

· Maintain a clean and sterile work and visitation environment.

· Personal accountability and initiative.

Requirements:

· Degree in: Social Work, Human Development & Family Studies, Human Services, Psychology, Child Development or equivalent is required.

· Experience working with children and/or families is preferred. Relative experience will be considered.

· Accuracy and exceptional writing skills are necessary, as reports are often reviewed by attorneys and Judges.

· Proven time management skills.

· Effective communication skills.

· Able to work afternoon/evening weekdays (Tues-Fri) and Saturday mornings.

 

This position is Tuesday - Saturday. No exceptions. 

 

Our office hours are Tuesday - Friday 11am - 7pm and Saturdays from 8am-3pm. Hours may differ based on caseload.

 

Applicant must be 21 years of age or older.
